COMPOTE! This is a recipe you want in your life. YOU DO! Cherry Limeade Compote!
*this recipe was created for my mates at Imperial Sugar
Cherry Limeade Compote is like your favourite slush taste – Cherry Limeade – however made with recent fruit! Compote is ideal for topping ice cream, yogurt, and as an accoutrement on a cheese platter. (It’s SO GOOD paired with goat cheese!) I preserve considering how scrumptious it could be combined with cherry or vanilla ice cream in a milkshake!
Would you imagine me if I informed you that you could make it in 10 minutes?!? It is completely true! Make it, after which have it available all week! I’ve actually eaten this each day on Greek yogurt for breakfast, lunch, and dessert!
What’s a compote? How is compote completely different from jam or chutney?
Compote is recent or frozen fruit cooked with a little bit sugar (howdy, Imperial Sugar) and water. That is about it!
Made with out thickeners or pectin, compote is not as thick as jam and is extra for spooning slightly than spreading. And in contrast to a chutney, it does not have vinegar or any savory notes.
This compote is made with recent cherries, lime zest and juice, Imperial Sugar, vanilla, and a pinch of salt. Easy and spectacular.
Talking of cherry recipes, have you ever tried these?
As soon as pitted, reduce the cherries in half.
Mix with the zest, sugar, and water. Cook dinner for just some minutes.
Stir in lime juice and vanilla. That is it!
HINT: to chill rapidly, use an ice tub to chill earlier than storing within the fridge.
